Here at The Soap Co. we are celebrating our launch by recognizing all the people, organizations and things that make us feel inspired #SoapCo_Inspired.
Over the coming weeks, we will be interviewing our favourite inspirational people to find out what inspires them. We are delighted that Karen, CEO of Belu Water, is here to kick off the series.
Belu Water is an award winning ethical business funding clean water projects through sales of British mineral water. They have donated over £1,000,000 to clean water projects and transformed the lives of 66,886 people.
What inspires you about Belu Water?
I’m inspired by our tiny team, living our values and yet able to compete successfully with the world’s biggest and best known water brands.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love delivering new ideas or making things better by collaborating and partnering with others.
I love the fact that anything can happen and I mean anything. From being in Marie Claire magazine to flying to Milan with David Cameron.
Who is inspiring you right now?
We have just hired a new Chief Operating Officer. Charlotte has joined us from Tesco Head Office.
Seeing her so full of energy, ideas and commitment to take the business to the next level has made my year!
What are your favourite ethical beauty products?
For our office, we use your products of course.
For me personally, I’d have to plug the body scrub my daughter made for me.
What would you like your personal legacy to be?
I would love to see a social enterprise brand taken seriously in the mainstream. I want big brands like Café Rouge and Zizzi to be happy and proud to be working with Belu.
What's next for Belu Water?
Even more water!

We caught up with Simeon to talk about his experience working on this project and to express our gratitude for the amazing job he and his team have done creating this wonderful piece that has moved so many of our supporters, clients and customers.
This week has been interesting. For those who don’t know, due to a similarity in names with a company called Soap & Co. which has been investigated by BBC Newsnight, many people mistook our brand for theirs.
We have been made aware of a BBC investigation into a company called SOAP & CO. Our company THE SOAP CO. has absolutely no connection to SOAP & CO. We are a completely separate company. This is us: https://thesoapco.org.
