We want to thank Aduna for their recent Aduna Loves article about The Soap Co. Aduna is an Africa-inspired health & beauty brand and social business whose mission is to create demand for under-utilised natural products from small-scale producers in rural Africa.
As a social business themselves, they're happy to see a rise in ethical brands over the years, thanks to an increased consciousness of consumers wanting to know where their products are coming from and how they are produced. We have been written up as one of their heroes!
Aduna interviewed Louisa Barnett, Project Manager, at The Soap Co. to hear her thoughts about the rise of ethical business - you can read more here.
We caught up with Simeon to talk about his experience working on this project and to express our gratitude for the amazing job he and his team have done creating this wonderful piece that has moved so many of our supporters, clients and customers.
This week has been interesting. For those who don’t know, due to a similarity in names with a company called Soap & Co. which has been investigated by BBC Newsnight, many people mistook our brand for theirs.
We have been made aware of a BBC investigation into a company called SOAP & CO. Our company THE SOAP CO. has absolutely no connection to SOAP & CO. We are a completely separate company. This is us: https://thesoapco.org.
