This week we have the pleasure of meeting Zoë Quirk, Founder of This Because, championing products that look good and do good.
In just two days time, on the 23rd November, This Because will be launching their pop-up shop on Broadwick Street in Soho.
What do you love about Christmas?
Seeing so many friends and family, the eating, the drinking, the walks, the fires, the snoozing, the singing.
What is your favourite Good Gift?
An *impossible* question for someone who runs a company championing so many brilliant Good Gifts. At This Because we share products that look good and do good like stationery made from offcuts; socks that provide warm feet for people who are homeless; chopping boards that reduce social isolation; gin that protects elephants; hampers full of things the taste good and do good; and of course soap that provides employment for people who are blind.
What is the best gift you’ve ever given?
Yikes, you’ve made me think I’m not a very good gift giver. If not a product then I like to buy tickets to an exhibition or a show. Then you get to enjoy a whole day or evening in each others company!
Thank you Zoe.
We caught up with Simeon to talk about his experience working on this project and to express our gratitude for the amazing job he and his team have done creating this wonderful piece that has moved so many of our supporters, clients and customers.
This week has been interesting. For those who don’t know, due to a similarity in names with a company called Soap & Co. which has been investigated by BBC Newsnight, many people mistook our brand for theirs.
We have been made aware of a BBC investigation into a company called SOAP & CO. Our company THE SOAP CO. has absolutely no connection to SOAP & CO. We are a completely separate company. This is us: https://thesoapco.org.
