"How to avoid microbeads"
We’re thrilled to see our Black Poppy & Wild Fig bar soap championed by The Pool as one of the best plastic-free products around, in their ‘How to avoid microbeads’ feature.
Plastic microbeads have gained a lot of attention over the past few months, with the US banning their use in cosmetics and the UK government following suit and banning their use in cosmetics and household products by the end of next year.
The ban follows a House of Commons Environmental Audit that revealed statistics showing how one shower can release 10,000 plastic particles into the environment, causing irreversible damage, poisoning marine life and even potentially entering the food chain. Just one of many facts that make us very pleased to be offering a natural alternative that does an even better job!
Frankie Graddon at The Pool writes: “The Soap Co. have an entire range of products that are sustainably made. The poppy seeds in this soap bar are exfoliating, whilst the cocoa butter is moisturising. The packaging is recyclable and every soap bought helps support employment for blind people across the UK.”
