We have been made aware of a BBC investigation into a company called SOAP & CO.. Our company THE SOAP CO. has absolutely no connection to SOAP & CO. We are a completely separate company. This is us: https://thesoapco.org.
Our company exists as a social enterprise and is part of CLARITY Employment for Blind People. This is the UK’s oldest social enterprise that creates employment for blind, disabled and disadvantaged individuals. Throughout the organisation’s 163 years of history, we have helped and supported thousands of individuals across the UK. We are extremely passionate about what we do and proud of our record of helping people in society who need it. So, as anyone can imagine, our company being referenced in error to SOAP & CO. is incredibly upsetting for our management team and for all our staff. In fact, we support 100% any investigation that seeks to support and look after the welfare of employees.
Our priority, first and foremost, is caring for and looking after our staff, some of which have been with the company for over 30 years.

This week has been interesting. For those who don’t know, due to a similarity in names with a company called Soap & Co. which has been investigated by BBC Newsnight, many people mistook our brand for theirs.
To celebrate our soap bars being sold in Anthropologie, we’re offering you the chance to win our best-selling bar soap, Black Poppy & Wild Fig.
With naturally exfoliating black poppy seeds you’re going to have a smile on your face as you throw away your plastic loofah for good.
