Based in East London, The Soap Co. collections are crafted in the UK by people who are blind, disabled or otherwise disadvantaged. Our no compromise approach means we take pride in paying attention where it matters, from our award winning minimalist design to locally sourced bottles and compostable soap wrappers.
Our ethics are black and white – just like our packaging.
We believe our products should be good and do good.
Using botanical extracts, nourishing vitamins and pure essential oils, we create cruelty-free and paraben-free products that nurture and care for skin.
To reduce impact on the environment, all our products are crafted in the UK with ingredients and materials that are locally sourced wherever possible – we’re the antidote to mass-production.
But it doesn’t stop there. We always strive to be more sustainable. Our bottles are made from old milk bottles and we have a new plastic-free collection made from aluminium, which can be recycled infinitely.
We’re environmentally conscious even down to the finer details. With compostable stickers, biodegradable glue and a film made from renewable wood pulp that looks like plastic, we pay attention to every detail.
But that’s only half the story.
Powered by people, not machines.
Proud to be an equal opportunities employer, we’re proving there doesn’t need to be a trade-off between award-winning design, responsible living and social purpose.
Every time you use choose one of The Soap Co. products, you are creating life-changing job opportunities. 80% of our employees are blind, disabled or otherwise disadvantaged, but with the aim to generate over 60 new jobs per year, we’re not stopping.
Whether they’re looking for long-term employment or just that first step onto the career ladder, we believe in equal opportunities and choose our staff based on ability, regardless of disability.
We think that’s pretty special.
